SHAYA BOYMELGREEN’S IRRESPONSIBLE DEVELOPMENT OF BROOKLYN MUST BE STOPPED. 

Our campaign against Boymelgreen began when several workers contacted us about not receiving overtime pay.  The workers were also concerned about jobsite safety after a wall collapsed on one of Boymelgreen's projects.  Boymelgreen’s long, checkered history of dangerous construction and unfair labor practices soon became clear.

Boymelgreen’s projects are manned by underpaid workers laboring in dangerous conditions.  Poor construction management resulted in accidents, serious injuries, and poor craftsmanship .  Boymelgreen, his employees and his company are also accused of racial and gender discrimination in a federal lawsuit.

Boymelgreen generally builds high-rise, luxury condos that benefit from tax abatements; yet he has a reputation for not creating any affordable housing.  His pricy apartments displace the local low- and moderate-income families and destroy the unique character of Brooklyn.

Boymelgreen is taking advantage of his workers and taxpayers in Brooklyn.
